"The monkeys are making noise. A very loud noise. A great confusion of voices. I have to make a decision.
I am not feeling well. I have to make a decision now that will affect the further course of
my day, my week, my life..." (Christian)
"It was a gradual process of breaking away from false assumptions and developing self-compassion and
To cultivate self-acceptance. Today I am aware that guilt does not define my reality,
but were only part of the challenges I had to overcome along the way.
I can now hug myself and be a home for myself." (Rieke)

"Then I ask myself, am I the one on the back who doesn't *succeed* in stepping to the front, breaking through, making everything that is so smooth crack and splinter? I already feel so transparent that I no longer believe that anyone from the outside will be able to help me.
But does breaking through mean having to collapse again?" (Maxi)
THE PATH TO THE THERAPY PLACE

Five steps to therapy - instructions for those with statutory health insurance
1. Make an appointment for a consultation. At eterminservice.de you can book an appointment at a psychotherapy practice near you. Select “psychotherapy consultation” as your specialty. No doctor’s referral is required for this. Alternatively, you can call 116 117, which is also operated by the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and arranges appointments.
2. Visit a consultation. Here you will receive an assessment of your case. You will find out whether psychotherapy is necessary at all - and, if so, whether a short acute treatment or longer psychotherapy makes more sense.
3. Be persistent. If you're lucky, there will be a therapy place available in the practice where you're speaking. Otherwise, you'll have to find one elsewhere (for example, via kbv.de/arztsuche) . Contact several practices and, if necessary, get yourself put on the waiting list at each one. And: document all your inquiries - important for step 4. Tip: eterminservice.de and the number 116 117 also arrange appointments for acute treatments and trial sessions ("taster appointments"), which are the start of longer-term psychotherapy. For this, you need a form with a referral code from the consultation. Expect that you won't get the appointments you want and that you'll have to travel a certain distance.
4. Apply for reimbursement of costs. If you are unable to get a therapy place through the referral service or through several of your own inquiries to practices, or if you have to wait months for one, you need to contact your health insurance company. Apply for them to cover the costs of a therapist who is not a registered therapist. Ask your health insurance company how to go about this. If they reject your application, object ( test.de/widerspruch-kk ).
5. Make a decision. If you have a therapy placement, make sure at the beginning that you feel comfortable with the therapist. This is important for success. If you are unsure, it is better to keep looking. This may require a new referral code from another consultation. Longer-term psychotherapy must be applied for at the end of the trial sessions with the insurance company, but the therapist can help with this. The path to therapy is completed.
